WILLIAM ("BILLY") W.
ZEPP

MEMORIAL
BY BILLY'S SISTER, JOYCE ZEPP RENNE
Billy was an MP
with the 504th MP Battalion in 1968. Billy was killed in a car wreck in March
of 1974. He was one of the most charismatic people I have ever
known and he was loved by everyone that knew him. He was always
the most popular guy in the room. He loved to travel and did so
extensively when he returned from Vietnam.
MEMORIAL
BY BILLY'S FRIEND, TONY SILLS
Billy's sister
Joyce was so right, to know Billy was to love Billy. Billy and I became
instant friends in 1969 when we were both selected to a squad under the
Command Sergeant Major for the 504th. I believe Billy was with "A"
company in Hue and I was with "C" company in Quang Tri. We worked
together on many assignments and patrols. Billy always seem to look for
excitement, as if there wasn't any around. For example the time I
found out he worked out this deal for us to go with the 101st over the
Ashau as "door gunners." Thanks Billy! There was another
time where Billy played a joke on Colonel Hooker, but I'll never tell.
I could
write a book about all the things Billy got us into, but, I would do it
all over again if I could.
Billy you
are missed by all that knew you and are probably looking down at us
laughing your butt off!
