Let us not forget Specialist Four James Edward Smythe, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, SP4 Smythe served our country until November 21st, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. James died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. James was born on July 20th, 1945 in Reeds Spring, Missouri.

SP4 Smythe is on panel 12E, line 106 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
