Let us not forget Private First Class William Clifton Shearin, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, PFC Shearin served our country until April 18th, 1968 in Kontum, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. William died when his vehicle crashed. His body was recovered. William was born on June 14th, 1946 in Louisburg, North Carolina.

PFC Shearin is on panel 50E, line 041 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
