Seery, 55, of East Walpole

EAST
WALPOLE -- Michael J. Seery, 55, of East Walpole and formerly of
Norwood, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Brigham and Women's
Hospital in Boston, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the
husband of Carol A. (MacIsaac) Seery.
He was the
son of Joseph Seery of Norwood and the late Jeanne (Hart) Seery.
Born in
Norwood where he lived his whole life until moving to East Walpole in
2003, he had worked as a postal worker at the Norwood Post Office since
1987.
Mr. Seery
was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a
member of the Norwood VFW Post 2452, the American Legion Norwood Post
70 and was past president of Norwood Pop Warner Football.
Besides his
wife, he leaves his children, Michael J. Seery, U.S. Army, of
Clarksville, Tenn., Meaghan E. Seery and Sean P. Seery, both of East
Walpole; his siblings, Joseph of Norwood, Jeanne Ferris of Norwood, Ann
Marie Flagg of Norton, Elaine Carrigan of Norwood and David of Quincy.
A funeral
Mass will be held Saturday, March 27, at 9 a.m., at St. Catherine of
Siena church, Norwood.
Burial with
military honors will follow at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
Visiting
hours are Friday, March 26, from 3 to 8 p.m, at the Gillooly Funeral
Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rte. 1A), Norwood.
