1st Lt. Timothy E. Price, Age 25,
of Midlothian, Va., died September 7, 2004 when he came under attack by
enemy forces using small arms fire in Baghdad, Iraq.
Price was assigned to the Army’s 127th Military Police Company, 709th
Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, V Corps,
Hanau, Germany.

Blacksburg, Va., September 8, 2004 -- Army
1st Lt. Timothy E. Price, a member of the Virginia Tech Class of 2001
and corps of cadets, was killed by hostile fire in Baghdad, Iraq,
Tuesday, Sept. 7. He was 25.
"Tim was an outstanding person and
cadet; one of the finest people you’ll ever meet," said Col. Rock
Roszak, USAF (Ret.), director of alumni programs for the Virginia Tech
Corps of Cadets. "His loss will be felt deeply by many people. Our
thoughts and condolences are with his family."
Price was a resident of Midlothian,
Va. He received his degree in forestry from the College of Natural
Resources. Price most recently visited the Virginia Tech campus in
April 2004, when he was one of four panel speakers who addressed Corps
of Cadet students.
