Wally is right about that big smile but the only picture I have of you is with a serious look. It was taken shortly before you had to leave us. A few years ago I had the pleasure of hearing from your niece who was born after your time with us. I would love to hear from her or any of the family again. She told me about your Dad and Brother, I guess you're all together now. It's still like yesterday, you're still with me, Brother! R. I. P.

Let us not forget Specialist Four John Wayne Poe, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, SP4 Poe served our country until February 19th, 1969 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 19 years old and was not married. John was accidently murdered. His body was recovered. John was born on March 31st, 1949 in Hazel Park, Michigan.

SP4 Poe is on panel 32W, line 061 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
