"I Still Remember" -  I was in AIT with Burt at Fort Gordon Georgia and I still remember how he made us all laugh even when we didn't feel like it.

I served with him in Vietnam and he maintained his sense of humor and was always fun to be around.

I considered him a friend and I still remember him and I still miss him.

Let us not forget Specialist Four Burt Joseph Jr Meyer, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, SP4 Meyer served our country until February 28th, 1969 in Dinh Tuong, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. Burt died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. Burt was born on July 18th, 1948 in Flushing, New York.

SP4 Meyer is on panel 31W, line 095 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
