"Remembering a Friend" - Stephen and I served together in 3rd
Platoon, C Company, 504th M.P. Bn in An Khe, RVN. We spent many an
evening after the work day was done quietly talking as he told me about
his life in Connecticut before the Army. He was one of the best M.P.'s
in the platoon.

"A Brave Soldier" - Steve was one of the "An-Khe Kelly Cougars".
He was never short on courage and would be the first to volunteer for
dangerous duty whenever any of our units needed support on Quan Linh
19. He had an aura of confidence about him and a new hand in country
felt better when he teamed up with Steve. It was this courage that put
him in harm's way and his sacrifice shall never be forgotten by his
fellow M.Ps nor his country. As long as our Republic exists, so shall
his sacrifice.

"I Rembember" - Steve was younger than I. Always a fun young man.
Steve died a year before I went to Vietnam. I hope his family remembers
that others cared about him also.
