Let us not forget Corporal William Edward
Irwin, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective
Service, CPL Irwin served our country until August 11th, 1966 in South
Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. William died from an
undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. William was born on
December 29th, 1944 in Portland, Oregon.
CPL Irwin is on panel 09E, line 127 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in
Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
