Let us not forget Private First Class Robert Jay Hess, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, PFC Hess served our country until April 18th, 1968 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was 19 years old and was not married. Robert died from suffocation. His body was recovered. Robert was born on July 16th, 1948 in Sacramento, California.

PFC Hess is on panel 50E, line 036 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
