- I remember you carrying me to the car, I remember your kiss,
your face and your beautiful eyes. Years have passed but your memory
still remain strong in our hearts. Uncle Henry is with you now, ask him
to tell you a few of his stories - how he re-enlisted to serve your
remaining time in Vietnam, he served 2 or 3 tours there. Gone but not
forgotten!!!

Let us not
forget Sergeant Douglas M Franklin, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a
member of the Army, SGT Franklin served our country until August 1st,
1967 in Quang, Ngai, South Vietnam. He was 23 years old and was
married. Douglas died from multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was
recovered. Douglas was born on May 5th, 1944 in Lexington, Virginia.

Franklin is on panel 24E, line 060 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in
Washington D.C. He served our country for 4 years.
