Although at the age of 12 when word came to us of your passing, the words you used to speak to me as your little brother, stood out more than the and louder than of the Capt. who brought us the horrible news.

Your words were - "someday when I go to the Army, I will sneak you in my suit case and take you with me". I wished, that could have happened. Now that years have come and gone, mom and dad have passed and I know have my own family, wife, children and grand children, I often speak of you and the suit case.

I have traveled all over the country and seen many places, but my life still has an empty place of a journey that of 2 brothers is yet to take.

On the day you left for the Army you said -"I will go for now and then come back to get you". My bags are packed and I know there is still a journey planned ahead.

I love you and miss you "Big Brother".

From your Brother, Darroll
